A Year of Good Manners" has been an invaluable resource for me as a young professional. The daily etiquette tips are quick to read and easy to implement right away. A number of the tips I learned saved my from making embarrassing mistakes while establishing myself early in my career. I highly recommend this book for those interested in presenting themselves confidently and with an air of refinement in any situation. You’ll be able to enjoy the teachings for years to come.”

It's so thoughtful! “A Year of Good Manners” by Margery Sinclair. Not only do I wish I had long ago discovered this perpetual calendar for recording important dates (before I missed those important dates), but I wish I had met Margery long before now. She is a treasure of information on etiquette and fashion and a great human being.  The book is Margery's wisdom with Jan Polk’s GAFC “respect series”original paintings.

“I had bought a pack of your Peony Flower Note Cards at the Flower Show this Year.  I've enjoyed very much using them for "Special Notes" to friends. Thank You Very Much for the "Instant Delivery" of my online order!  I was amazed when I arrived home after 4 this afternoon, to see it at my door. Along with using a couple myself for special notes to friends, I'm EXCITED about Gifting Friends.”

"My cousin just arrived home and called to tell me how much she loves the vineyard painting you did in our living room.  Raved and raved and raved…which reminded me to write you immediately!  I've bought your note cards nearly every year since they were available, and can attest to their quality.  Truly a beautiful gift, and a great stocking stuffer."

"Jan Polk  recently provided a fabulous exhibit at Campbell County Public Library's Art After hours in July, 2011.   Not only is she a talented artist, she has a very unique gift of interacting with others in order to effectively share her passion for the arts. Her artwork is beautifully captured in "A Year of Good Manners" and in the vivid note cards she has produced."

COMPANY HISTORY

Our company was established in 2000 and has been responsible for providing outstanding original art, limited edition prints, and note cards ever since.

Our specialty is limited edition prints of the Great American Flower Collection (GAFC) paintings which are known as the "Respect Series" of fine art watercolor paintings.  We recommend giving framed GAFC prints as respect awards.  Our business is located in Ft. Thomas, KY, and  is open by appointment only.  We also sell original, impressionist style landscape oil paintings and note cards.

In June, 2008, we released our beautiful, hard cover, perpetual calendar "A Year of Good Manners" by Margery Sinclair and Jan Polk.  A perpetual, daily calendar, to collect autographs of loved ones, record birthdays and anniversaries, and help you remember good manners every day, all year long, year after year.  The paintings of   Jan Polk remind you to treat yourself and others with respect.  The words of Margery Sinclair explain how and why you should. This is a wonderful way to pass your values onto future generations. This book becomes more valuable with each new entry.  Our first issue is a signed, and numbered, limited edition of 300.  Our second edition was released December, 2008.

If you would like a free 9 page index for this book, please send your email address to janpolk@janpolk.com.

The "Blue Iris from the GAFC" won a first place award in 2001 in an international printers contest for Stevenson Color Company.  This is a beautiful print!

The Giclees are printed by Depot Square Giclee Printers and are spectacular.  The vibrant images jump off the paper.  You will love these Giclees.

The Yellow Daffodil won an honorable mention at
the Harrison Ohio Festival of the Arts in 2005.  This
painting was also juried into the pretigious Cincinnati
Art Club Viewpoint 2004 show.

You can reach us at 859-466-1986 between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern std time. We are looking forward to hearing from you. You can also contact us at our e-mail address: janpolk@janpolk.com.

In 2004, Jan Polk and Margery Sinclair, the renown etiquette consultant from Milwaukee, WS, teamed up to present as a public service,  the GAFC "Respect and Manners" daily etiquette tips by Margery Sinclair.  The bright, colorful GAFC images symbolically remind you to treat yourself with respect while Margery's etiquette tips tell you how to treat others with respect.  Respect and Manners are our common bonds.  It is our civic duty to behave in a civilized manner.
